Skip the jack. Pull the oil out from the top.
Run the engine five minutes so the oil is warm and thin. Feed the small hose down the dipstick tube until it bottoms out, drop the big hose into an empty jug, clip the leads to the battery and flip the switch. The old oil comes out the top and the drain plug never moves. Works on engine oil, gear oil and ATF. Not for gasoline or water — this pump uses the oil to lubricate itself.

The part that keeps it from burning out.
Read the one-star reviews on any $25 pump and it's the same story: it ran, it smoked, it died. Cold, thick oil spikes the load on the motor, and a pump with no protection keeps pulling until something melts. This one drops power when the load climbs, then picks back up. It is rated for 30 minutes of continuous running, and warm oil will always drain faster than cold — so warm it first and let the motor do the rest.

Flip it off before it spills.
Plug-in-only pumps start the second the clamps touch the battery, and the only way to stop them is to pull a live clamp with oil still in the line. The rocker switch on top means you start when the hose is seated and stop the moment the jug is full. Less arcing at the clamps, no accidental start-ups, no surprise puddle on the engine cover.

Made for
Built for the engines with no easy drain
If the drain plug is hard to reach, stripped, or doesn't exist, this is the tool.
Boats, jet skis and I/O engines
Inboards and PWCs drain through the dipstick or not at all. Feed the hose down, pump into a jug, and you're done before the ice melts.
Low cars and anything you'd rather not jack
Six inches of ground clearance and a skid plate is a bad afternoon. Pull the oil from the top and the jack stays on the wall.
Mowers, generators, tractors
Small engines with a drain that dumps oil on the deck. Warm it, pump it, wipe nothing.
Overfills and fluid swaps
Took out a quart too much? Doing an ATF or diff drain-and-fill? Pull exactly what you need and measure it in the jug.
In the box
Everything to do the first change tonight
Pump, both hoses, clamps and the battery lead. Bring the jug.
Spec sheet, not sales talk
How it works
Three steps, no jack
Warm, insert, pump. The whole job happens from above the engine.

Warm the oil
Run the engine about five minutes. Warm oil is thin oil, and thin oil is what moves fast through a 6mm hose.
Feed the hose
Pull the dipstick and slide the small hose down the tube until it stops. Clamp the big hose to the OUT port and drop it in a jug.
Clip and flip
Red to positive, black to negative, switch on. When the pump starts pulling air, wiggle the hose to get the last of it, then switch off.
Built to not burn out
The three things a cheap pump doesn't have
Most 12V pumps sold online die the same way: cold oil, hot motor, smoke. Here is what's different inside this one.

Overcurrent protection
Cold 10W-30 can double the load on a small gear pump. This one drops power when the current climbs, then resumes, instead of pulling until the windings cook.
A switch between the battery and the motor
Plug-in-only pumps run the instant the clamps touch. The rocker switch lets you seat the hose first and stop the flow in a second.
Clamped hoses on labeled ports
Push-fit hoses on a warm pump slip and spray. Two clamps are in the box, and the IN/OUT ports are marked so it goes together right the first time.
Your first change
About 20 minutes, start to finish
What an oil change looks like once the jack stays on the wall.
Warm it up
Start the engine and set a five-minute timer. Get the jug, the pump and the fresh oil ready.
Hook up
Engine off. Dipstick out, small hose down the tube, big hose clamped to OUT and into the jug. Clip to the battery.
Pump
Switch on. Five warm quarts take roughly 10–15 minutes. Change the filter while it runs.
Refill and done
Measure what came out, pour the same amount back in, check the dipstick. No jack, no drain-plug threads, no puddle.

Questions
Before you order
Will it work on my vehicle?
If you can pull the dipstick, yes. The 6mm hose goes down the dipstick tube of cars, trucks, boats, jet skis, mowers, generators and tractors. It moves engine oil, gear oil and ATF. It is not for gasoline, diesel, coolant or water.
How long does a 5-quart oil change take?
With warm oil, roughly 10–15 minutes of pumping at the rated 0.13 GPM. Cold, thick oil is slower, so run the engine about five minutes first.
Will it overheat or burn out?
It is rated for 30 minutes of continuous running and has overcurrent protection that cuts power when thick oil spikes the load, then resumes. The pump lubricates itself with the oil it moves, so never run it dry or on water.
Does it hook straight to the battery?
Yes. The lead ends in red and black clamps. Clip to any 12V battery — the vehicle's own is fine — and flip the switch on top.
What comes in the box?
The pump, a 6mm × 1.2 m inlet hose, a 12mm × 1.5 m outlet hose, two hose clamps, and the 12V battery-clamp lead. Bring your own drain jug.
What if it doesn't work for me?
